Alaska
A young Spanish mare, born and raised on Ibiza. After coming to the Valley she developed into a proud and thankful horse.
Alaska is now Monique’s gem as her faithful riding companion.
Bella
Bella joined us early in our journey. Her strong mindset, sense of responsibility, and natural leadership qualities led her to become our first Alpha mare. We called her the Iron Lady. Bella chose Manuel as her right hand - the protector and defender. They also became a loving couple, husband and wife. Together, they led the herd for years, enforcing a very strict regime during what we called the Iron Period. As she aged, Bella naturally stepped down from her role as Alpha mare, but as Manuel’s wife, they always remained together, as horse couples do.
On November 5th, 2023, Bella passed away at the respectable age of 35. Surrounded by the herd, she took her last breaths.
Clown
Halflinger/Percheron gelding, known as the food master of the Herd. He likes to ride but would prefer to stay home and eat. Free spirited horse, curious and very friendly.
Fiona
Spanish mare, born and raised in Madrid, trauma free horse. Fiona is very responsive and sensitive to commands.
Due to her being sensitive, she does not like beginners who may not give the right commands as she then gets confused on what is being asked from her.
Very gentle character and super sweet.
Freya
Trotter pedigree mare, after her successful career as a trotter and having been part in professional breeding programs, she ended her career on Ibiza. As for almost all professional exploited horses the final stage of their life is shocking.
With the loyal and continuously financial help from OUR SPONSORS we were able to save Freya out of a similar kind of situation in which she lost one eyesight.
Nowadays she enjoys her well deserved pension. It took Freya a long time to regain trust in humans and now Freya receives with gratitude the care and attention while being groomed by our riders.
Very sweet and gentle character.
Geisha
Spanish mare, she holds the reputation of the horse with the most endurance of the Herd. Fast walker, fast runner, not scared of anything and loves the sea.
More suitable for experienced riders. Gentle and open character.
Indio
Appaloosa gelding that sadly passed away, he was the trusted ruler the Herd. He had tough times in his earlier life but the Valley gave him a peaceful and meaningful life. Indio: beloved and respected by all members of the Herd & Valley.
Kawa
Mare, breed unknown. Tibou’s truly faithful companion. Open-minded, cuddly and caring.
However, sometimes she can be so caring that when an insecure rider shows her too much unbalance she might decide that it is saver to go home, she will turn around and slowly walk back to the Valley.
LILA
Spanish mare, born and raised on Ibiza. Likes to ride in the back, friendly horse.
Suitable for all riders starting with confident beginners.
Manuel
American Trotter (Standardbred), gelding. Manuel has been with David for over more than 10 years. The defender of the Herd. He will adjust to any situation and is a keen swimmer and jumper. A very tame and willing horse.
Nero
Menorquin gelding, well behaved horse. He can be bossy in the Herd and loves to lead the rides. Comfortable with any rider as long as the rider is confident and in balance. The Brad Pitt looks with Dustin Hoffman traits.
Peachy
Half Arabian mare. She behaves extremely well: for beginners to experienced riders. Her judgement of your riding skills determines the pace as long as she feels it is safe for you. Caring and sweet character.
Pippas
Appaloosa mare, the only pony in the Herd. Not a lot is known for her background apart from the fact that she lived in solitude for 4 years before she came to the Valley. However we believe she’s entering her older years and therefore we do not ride her. She’s the Herd’s darling. Very sweet character.
Polly
Spanish mare, the humble one of the Herd. Does not want any trouble nor is interested in racing with anyone.
Perfect for beginners. Gentle spirit and cuddly horse.
Status
English Thoroughbred pedigree gelding. Despite his previous professional racing career with all its traumatic hardships, he kept his sweet character.
Though able to race extremely fast, he’s takes it even very slow if asked as he listens perfectly: suitable for beginners to experienced riders. Sweet and forgiving horse.
Tibou
Spanish gelding, in his prime years with respect to spirit and looks but older in calendar years. Kawa’s loyal companion.
Considering his previous social abandoned and maltreated life before the Valley, Tibou is now known for his gentleness: he’s got a heart of gold.
